The weather’s quite nice today— in the back of his mind, Gold hopes that their dinner ends up as nice as the breeze blowing through his hair. He arrives at the house just shortly after Hibiki, and salutes at him, offering a slight, but friendly, “yo” before trotting in the house after him. After his brother utters his greeting, Gold leans out from behind him, waving at their mother. “Happy ‘you’ day!” Face bursting into a grin, he sidesteps Hibiki and stands beside the other, hands in his pockets. “May I say you look radiant, as always.” His voice lowers a bit, obviously joking, but still intending it to be a compliment.
“Hibi!” She smiled her first son’s arrival, but beamed when they both showed up. “And Gold too? Well this is a party!”
Rin extended her arms out, taking the both of them into a hug. “Charming as always, Gold.” With a quick wink she lifted his hat and kissed him on the head, then turned to Hibiki and did the same. “And hello to you too, sweetie.”
“I was thinking we could go out to eat? Save me the cooking, what do you say?”

Mother’s day was pretty revered in Rin’s household, especially considering it was a family founded on a strong, single matriarch. When the boys were younger they’d make cards out of construction paper and markers, but they were older and busier these days. Just having the day with them was enough of a treat. Hopefully they’ll play nice, Rin mused as she brushed out her hair, awaiting Gold and Hibiki’s arrival. She wasn’t planning on being kicked out of a restaurant on her special day.

The day’s nearly gone by and someone hasn’t paid mama a visit. Make that two someones~.

Hmmm…well, I’ve just gotten back from a vacation, so it’s been a while since the lawn has been mowed. Oh—also, I want to rearrange my living room. Maybe you could help move the furniture around?
